EUG 2020 Preliminary Sports Schedule revealed

 

The preliminary sports schedule for the 2020 European Universities Games, which will be held from July 12-25 in Belgrade, Serbia, has been revealed, and can be downloaded HERE.

A total of 21 sporting disciplines will make up the official sports schedule at the fifth edition of the European Universities Games in the Serbian capital. These include Badminton, Basketball, 3×3 Basketball, Beach Handball, Beach Volleyball, Chess, Football, Futsal, Handball, Judo, Para Judo, Karate, Kickboxing, Orienteering, Rowing, Table Tennis, Para Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Tennis, Volleyball and Water Polo.

Over 5 500 participants are expected in Belgrade, making it the biggest European Universities Games in EUSA’s history. Almost 1 000 volunteers and over 800 referees will be present, while interestingly, exactly 2020 medals will be awarded at the 2020 Games!

Please note that this is a preliminary schedule and is subject to change. The final confirmed schedule will be made available ahead of the opening of the registrations for next year’s event.

Registrations will open on December 1, 2019.

REGISTRATION DEADLINES
General Entry – 1st deadline: January 15th
Quantitative Entry (Referee Entry): April 15th
Individual Entry: June 15th
Travel Plan: June 15th

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE
Participants of the EUG are Universities and similar institutions with the status of an institution of higher education recognised by an appropriate national authority of their country. Participants shall be nominated through their NUSA (EUSA Members), who can submit General Entry Forms and define a Contact person to carry out the rest of the registration procedure, including submission of the Quantitative Entry Form, Individual Entry Forms and Travel Plans. Additional information on Registrations will be provided on December 1st, 2019.

FEES
Deposit: Pro-forma invoice will be automatically generated upon submitting the General Entry Form.
Participation Fee: 65 EUR / person / night
EUSA Entry Fee: 30 EUR / person
Fees cover accommodation with full board – breakfast, lunch, dinner (starting with lunch on arrival and finishing with breakfast on departure day), transfer from official welcome points, local transport, training, competitions, ceremonies and general organization of the event.
